A half-dozen hotshot singers are teaming up for a cozy December Guitar Pull at Kelly’s Olympian. The PDX Songwriter’s Showcase will present performers who can all walk and chew gum at the same time, and each having a few of the following feathers in their cap: singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, or member of several bands. Host Jeremy Wilson says this of the line up: “Trust me, this is going to be the real deal.”
Taking turns playing their own songs solo, acoustic that night will be: Eric Jensen of Tractor Operator; Katy Sanford from that Portland band of pop tarts The Jolenes; Jeremy Wilson of Dharma Bums and Pilot; Pat Kearns the singer/songwriter and producer of retro-pop rock band Blue Skies For Black Hearts; Amanda Spring who drums and sings for Point Juncture WA and IOA; and that guitar slinging, accordion squeezing, banjo strumming, piano playing Adrienne Hatkin of Autopilot Is For Lovers. Someone should make Jeremy play his song from this 80’s video!
